This Easter season, take a journey from darkness to light, from brokenness to healing, and from sorrow to joy. Join us for Holy Week from April 2 to April 9, when we will walk in real time through the last hours of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The story culminates in a glorious celebration on Easter Sunday!

Maundy Thursday – April 6

An Upper Room Service – Maundy Thursday Worship

6:30 pm | Fellowship Hall

Join in an interactive reflection on what took place in the Upper Room.

This service around tables begins at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. During this experience, participants will specifically remember three aspects of the Upper Room narrative: Jesus’ washing of his disciples’ feet, the Passover Seder meal (and the institution of the Lord’s Supper), and the promise of the Holy Spirit.  Together with hymns and special music from our Chancel Choir and Chancel Ringers, this will be a powerful experience of a what is sometimes called both a night of shame and a night of glory.

24 Hour Prayer Vigil

8:00 pm April 6 – 8:00 pm April 7

“Watch and pray” as Jesus’ disciples were asked to do.

This time of intentional reflection provides a way for you to prepare your hearts for Easter through guided prayer and meditation.  You have the opportunity to pray in the Chapel or from your house, for each FCC family and our community as we form a “prayer chain.”  30-minute intervals for prayer begin at 8:00 pm on April 6 and conclude at 8:00 pm on April 7.  Sign up for a 30-minute slot.

Good Friday – April 7

Stations of the Cross

12:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Remember the steps that led to the crucifixion by walking the Stations of the Cross – a 14-step self-paced devotion that helps you recall and meditate on the specific events surrounding the crucifixion.  Stop by the Fellowship Hall anytime between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm to walk the stations.

Easter Sunday – April 9

Easter Sunday Worship

8:40 am Traditional Worship Service | Chapel
10:45 am Traditional Worship Service | Sanctuary and streaming live on Facebook Live and YouTube.

Easter Sunday is the remembrance of God’s ultimate saving deed as we celebrate Jesus conquering sin and death!  The Vigil begun at the close of the Maundy Thursday Worship Service ends as we declare, “Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again!”

These two services proclaim the transforming power of Christ’s resurrection through music, Holy Communion, and a message of hope.  The 10:45 am service will also feature the celebration of baptisms, beautiful music by the Chancel Choir and brass ensemble, and more.
